While genetics may contribute to obesity, genes don’t control what we put in our mouths. A sensible diet can help to reach and maintain a sensible weight.

  • Increase consumption of lean meats, poultry and toxin-safe cold-water fish.
  • Eat leafy green vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.
  • AVOID carbohydrates, especially refined carbs like sodas, cookies, candies, wheat and milk products.
